Man’s life is not measured by the number of days, months and years that he has lived, but by the deeds he has done and by the achievements he has made. What is the real significance in life is not the quantity, but the quality of experience. A short life devoted to noble endeavours is far more valuable than a long life of over a hundred years spent in trivial pursuits. We live in deeds and not in years. Noble deeds, splendid ideas and finc sentiments constitute the real glory of character and not the length of time one has lived in the world.

6 – Translate the following passage into English:
प्रातःकाल का सुहावना समय था। ठंडी हवा चल रही थी। राजकुमार सलीम और बीरबल के साथ, अकबर टहलने चल दिया। कुछ देर के बाद वे एक तालाब के किनारे पहुँचे । तालाब का पानी साफ़ था अतः अकबर ने स्नान करने का निश्चय किया। राजकुमार सलीम भी नहाने के लिये तैयार हो गये । उन्होंने अपने कपड़े उतारे और बीरबल को दे दिये जो उस समय स्नान करना नहीं चाहता था । नहाते समय अकबर ने बीरबल से कहा, “तुम्हारे पास एक गधे का बोझ है।” बीरबल ने तुरंत उत्तर दिया, “नहीं, सरकार दो गधों का है।” बीरबल के शब्दों पर अकबर हँस पड़ा परंतु राजकुमार सलीम क्रोधित हो गये ।
