प्रस्तुत कविता बहुत शिक्षाप्रद और प्रेरणा देने वाली है। यहाँ कवि हमें बताता है कि स्वर्ण या खनिज संपदा से राष्ट्र महान और मजबूत नहीं बन सकता है। लेकिन देशवासियों की आध्यात्मिक शक्ति एक महान राष्ट्र का निर्माण करती है। महान् बनने के लिए राष्ट्र को ऐसे लोग चाहिए जो बहादुर, कठिन परिश्रमी और साहसी हों।

Gold and material wealth cannot make a nation great. Real strength of a nation lies in its people. It is the people, who stand firmly and suffer heroically, that make a nation great and powerful. By hard working people can carry the nation to the height of progress and glory.
(स्वर्ण और भौतिक संपदा राष्ट्र को महान् नहीं बना सकते। किसी राष्ट्र की वास्तविक शक्ति उसके लोगों में निहित होती है। उस राष्ट्र के नागरिक जो राष्ट्र के लिए दृढ़ता से खड़े हो सकते हैं तथा बहादुरी से देश के लिए कष्ट सहन कर सकते हैं उसको महान् और शक्तिशाली बना सकते हैं। कठिन परिश्रम के द्वारा लोग राष्ट्र को उन्नति और यश के शिखर तक ले जा सकते हैं।)
